Project Aims

The project aims to develop a new training framework aimed at empowering students with skills for increased employability through modern ICT tools offered by Augmented Reality. The ARTE project will through the established partnership, thus create a common structure, curriculum and content for the above mentioned interdisciplinary teaching module aimed at Science/Engineering/Business Higher Education stakeholders. In addition, the content will be embedded into existing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes organized by business associations and Chambers of Commerce to help rapidly diffuse knowledge on AR-based entrepreneurship.    As an outcome of the planned curriculum, learners will acquire interdisciplinary knowledge. 

Project Objectives

  1. Develop the ARTE training framework that supports students in acquiring entrepreneurial skills related to and exploiting AR technology;
  2. To develop an innovative interdisciplinary teaching module (AR  & Business Fundamentals training material, course support, website, case studies, etc.);
  3. To pilot test the innovative ARTE module created;
  4. To raise awareness on AR for business entrepreneurs via case-studies & a number of dissemination activities.

ARTE Target Groups

The ARTE target groups are the following:

  • Undergraduate students willing to learn about Augmented Reality
  • Undergraduate students willing to foster  entrepreneurial skills
  • Postgraduate students willing to foster entrepreneurial skills
  • Adults/professionals interested in Continuous Professional Development training programmes
  • Young Aspiring Entrepreneurs keen to learn and exploit AR technology.

 HEI students are the direct beneficiaries of the new ARTE training module to be developed.  Hence these are the internal, short-term target groups. However, the project aims to reach out to external target groups too.
